Saddest Moments
What do I owe to this happiness?
To make it stay on a warm summer day,
Or for it to rain like pearls from the sky,
While I could behold it in my embrace.
My saddest moments aren’t the most violent
They are those in which I received love
From them, whom I love the most.
The welcome song I sang for them as guests
While the song would lead us to the end
And the misty eyes I would hide at my best
I owe the satin cloth I promised to happiness
Where I could treasure it and hide it
For a treasure hunt that someone will accomplish
The joy they would fill into the cloth
With pearls of new colors while the old could defrost
The happiness that would be adorned
While I would slowly repay my debt
To make it stay on a warm summer day
To give you the shade on a day in May.
