- Mystic Creature
A black mystic creature was found on the stairs
Crumpled in a tiny ball of despair
She asked for help in signs so deceiving
She engraved in my arms, to rest for the evening
As days went by, the arm got swollen
She told me then, that things will change
In good or bad ways, that will be strange
We stayed together in hopes of good days
“They are coming”, is all she says
Food and shelter and the joys of play
Kept her contended, but “what now’ she would say
With words so loud, to make you shiver
The colors of sky turned black, and so did the river
She feared the change, and sight of a few
Ran into the space, to engrave something new
She kept to herself until given some attention
Engraving deeper, she said “It’s a connection”
Change happened in installments of pain
Streams would flow, but not from rain
Attention, got no gain, as the color red
Started to embark on a journey of insane
